Nic won the Oshkosh Big Wheel race at four years old and hasn’t stopped spinning those wheels since. Through athletics, education, and self-exploration Nic continues to cultivate a holistic approach to coaching, personal training, and bodywork. Nic was a competitive CrossFit athlete, finishing 31st in the world in the CF open in 2018. She’s participated in a variety of team athletics, including: baseball, softball, volleyball, swimming, cross-country, track and field, hockey, and basketball. She’s continued her movement education since college. Most recently exploring Ida Rolf’s work with structural integration, as well as learning to surf and getting lost on mountain bike trails. Nic views the organization of the body in a way that bridges awareness with alignment, resulting in a stability that can move heavy loads more efficiently and safely. Her focus is how to achieve goals with an eye on longevity and sustainability. turningPoint: In 2022, I had a significant accident while playing ice hockey; I suffered extensive injuries including a broken leg and ankle. I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to run or do the physical things that had always been foundational to my existence. This was on the heels of the loss of my beloved dog, Timber. My sources of physical and emotional stability were no longer. In the face of this adversity I had to push forward (on one leg) and lean into all that I had learned, my experiential knowledge, and my inner knowing. It was impactful and hard process but now I view the accident as a gift that allowed me to really understand the body’s healing process and potential. I am humbled and empowered.
My purpose for coaching is to share my passion and teach people how to move better and be more aware in their own bodies. Within that, how to have fun while in pursuit of human potential. To learn more: embodymobiltyarts.com See you in the gym!
